Gratitude

I can start with gratitude...

I'm so grateful for the air I breathe and lungs that work properly.
For a body that's healthy and strong.
Legs to carry me.
Ears to hear and eyes to see.
My voice, and freedom to use it.
For my husband that works hard, is intelligent and fun and has means to provide shelter, food, clothing, warmth, and wants.
The ability I have to work.
For children that bring me smiles and hugs and tears and everything else.
I'm thankful for the beautiful surroundings where I live, the sounds of the ocean, and the breezy dunes.
I'm thankful for friends and conversations that seek to understand and add depth to thoughts and perspective.
For family that is everything.
I find myself grateful for my growing awareness of self and situation.
For a mind that is active and capable of learning.
I love people who laugh out loud, reminding me to do the same.
I'm grateful for humor, wit, and creativity.
I'm humbled by sensitivity and genuine concern.
I'm grateful for the potential empathy that struggle can create.
I love the earth and the wide open sky.
Cirrus clouds colored by morning and evening light are my favorite, and I find storm clouds to be especially thrilling.
I'm grateful for goodness and the belief in a higher power.
I feel happy I can press down the keys on this computer and formulate words, sentences, thoughts, and ideas.
A cold fizzy drink.
A groovy beat.
Food in the pantry.
Water in the tap.
A hot shower.

Sometimes I don't know where to start.
So I choose gratitude.
Suddenly, I don't know where to stop.
